But actually there are practially no people who would like to book a flight to Russia - the country of contrasts, the country where the past meets the present, the country where long-lasting traditions are being kept and followed even today. Though Russia is a secular country, we may say that the far corners of it are still existing in the past, therefore preserving the national heritage. So if you are really looking for a romantic vacation, Russian river cruise is what you should consider first of all. Booking a cabin on a ship will be a nice way of spending money on traveling as you will see all the beautiful and picturesque places and meanwhile you will feel the spirit of the Russian Empire - once being the most powerful in the world.
When booking either a Russia or Ukrainian cruise you should consider many factors and the first will be the level of intimacy as there are many cruise ships that can be overcrowded by children and other passangers so it is important to find such a cruise ship that will provide a quite and relaxing atmosphere. Do not forget that you are on the romantic journey!

Russia river cruise is the best journey ever!

Actually, there is no people that know much about Russia. This is a very interesting country and after a long period of Soviet regime it has finally become the secular society with high ambitions to develop all the spheres of their economy at the same time. This glorious country has thousands of places of visit and if you get a visa to Russia - it won't be a problem to admire the beauty and picturesque landscapes of the huge and powerful country.
First of all, you should not forget that nowadays there is no problem to get to this country - all the visas can easily be got and you may start your travel even tomorrow! But what tour to choose? Actually, many people who have already travelled to Russia do recommend Russian river cruises because only traveling by boat you can enjoy the beauty of this country. River cruises have many advantages: you do not miss all the places, cathedrals and churches and the view is much more splendid from Moscow-river or Volga or Neva then just from the ground.

The 44,399 m.t. SPC also is a subsidiary company of SONATRACH of Algeria. The Rhourd Enouss is the second delivery of three LPG carriers ordered by SPC from Kawasaki. Kawasaki had previously constructed four LPG carriers for SPC. Newbuildings of LPG carriers built by Kawasaki now totals 39. The Rhourd Enouss has four cargo tanks of the independent tank type that allows contraction of the tanks due to liquefied cargoes such as NH3 besides LPG at very low temperatures. The cargo tanks are constructed with special steel durable to the lowest temperature of minus 50oC and insulated with urethane foam. Reliquefaction units using threestage compressors, cargo heaters, vaporizers, booster pumps, and aeration fans are also provided to cargo handling at ports. The engine facilitateand cargo section operation is also totally managed by an integrated automation system.
Various machinery and valves of both sections can be monitored and controlled at the central control room. The main engine is the fuel-saving super-long stroke, 2-cycle low-speed Kawasaki-MAN B&W type. The use of an electric-control lubrication system for the main engine also reduces the consumption of lubricant for cylinders. The Kawasaki SEA-ARROW bow is employed to increase propulsion efficiency since it is effective to reduce wave-making resistance.
The wheelhouse is equipped with advanced electronic navigation installations, which are centralized in a ship-shaped arrangement to increase handling accessibility, and contributed to acquiring the NAUT-OC notification. Furthermore, adoption of the tracking control system ensures the more accurate and safe course-keeping.
The measurements of the vessel are really amazing. The overall length is 204.92 meters and the length between perpendiculars is 200.45 meters. The beam of the Rhourd Enouss is 32.20 meters and the depth is 20.20 meters. While the ship is fully loaded has draft of 12.10 meters. The deadweight of LPG Carrier is 44,399 metric tons and the gross tonnage is 35,306 gross tons.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://cruise-cargo-ships.blogspot.com/2008/12/kawasaki-shipbuilding-corporation-has.html' title='The 44,399 m.t. Ltd. has completed the Hestiana, a molten sulfur carrier of 3,599DWT, for Fukurokuju Maritima S. A. The vessel has a special construction for the specific purpose of molten sulfur transport. Molten sulfur, which is used as a material to produce fertilizers, is now transported from Japan or Korea to China.
The temperature of the molten sulfur should be maintained at 135 - 145oC. If the temperature decreases below 120 oC or increases over 154 oC, the molten sulfur rapidly becomes highly viscous. Thus thermal control is important for transport of the material. An independent tank system is employed for keeping the cargo at high temperature. Cargo tanks are made of steel with heat insulation of glass wool, which covers the tank. Inside the tank, heating coils are installed to pass steam and maintain the required temperature. Sulfur has low flammable danger or toxicity to humans. However, molten sulfur contains impurities of hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide that are highly toxic. Hydrogen sulfide is very flammable and may cause an explosion.
Accumulation of hydrogen sulfide inside the cargo tank must be avoided. Therefore, vapor containing hydrogen sulfide from the cargo is forcibly ventilated from the air phase of the cargo inside the cargo tank with fans which send fresh air inside. The fresh air is previously heated through the heaters to not cool the cargo. If the vent post line is blocked by the cargo, it may cause a hazard. So the vent line and vent valves are provided with heat tracers to prevent adhesion of the cargo to the vent. The cargo pumps used for cargo handling are the deep well and electric motor driven type.
The ship has overall length of 95.02 meters and length between perpendiculars of 89.95 meters. The beam of the ship is 14 meters and the depth is 7.60 meters. The ship has draft of 5.61 meters, while fully loaded. The deadweight of the vessel is 3,599 metric tons and the gross tonnage is 2,849 gross tons.

Gas carrier Lalla Fatma N’soumer

Kawasaki Shipbuilding Corporation delivered the 145,445m3 LNG carrier, Lalla Fatma N’soumer (HN:1534), to Algeria Nippon Gas Transport Corporation on Oct. 29, 2004. The
LNG carrier is the third of the 145,000m3 class developed by Kawasaki and designed with 10,000m3 larger capacity than the conventional 135,000m3 type carrier, although the ship dimensions are almost the same as the conventional type. Therefore, the LNG carrier can visit many LNG terminal ports worldwide. Four LNG cargo tanks are of the independent Kawasaki completes LNG carrier, Lalla Fatma N’soumer spherical MOSS type. The heat insulation is the Kawasaki panel system that demonstrates a high heat insulation effect. This insulation system maintains the BOG rate at approximately 0.15% a day. The cargo tanks are installed inside the compartment built with double side shells and double bottom to ensure safety so that the cargo tanks are not damaged directly. The wheel-house is equipped with advanced integrated navigation equipment, which has improved ship operation. Windows around the wheel-house provide a panoramic an invertor is used for the cargo pump to reduce impact to the pipes when
starting the pump. The ship is designed for one-man-bridge operation.
The ship Lalla Fatma N’soumer has overal length of 297.50 meters and length between perpendiculars of 283.00 meters. (MHI) has completed the 19,961GT car/passenger ferry, New Camellia (HN: 1104), for NYK Line at its Shimonoseki Shipyard. The ferry is operated by Camellia Line and is now plying between Hakata, Japan and Pusan, Korea, with a schedule of six voyages a week. The ferry was built to replace the previous ferry, Camellia (15,439GT). The New Camellia can navigate at a speed of 23.5 knots, 2.5 knots faster than the predecessor, and shortens the voyage by six hours between two cities. This has also improved transport of fresh vegetables and fish, and refrigerated freight. The increase in the number of crossings a week from three to six has improved the convenience to shippers. Moreover, the larger ship size increases container loading capacity from 170TEUs to 220TEUs. The ferry can transport vehicles (trucks), special cargoes, and heavy cargoes based on the RO/RO method, which could not be transported by conventional ships on the route. Passengers’ cars can also be carried. The measurements of the new ferry are interesting, but not so big. The overall length is 170.0 meters and the beam is 24.00 meters. The draft of New Camelia is 6.0 meters, which is making the deadweight of the ship 4,642 tetric tons, which gross tonnage of 19,961t.

Valente Venus bulk carrier

Naikai Zosen Corporation has completed the 28,401 DWT open bulk carrier, VALENTE VENUS (HN: 714) for Floral Shipping Navigation S.A. at the Setoda Works. The vessel is now operated for transport of copper ore and slug centered on New Caledonia.
The double hull construction similar to an ore carrier is adopted to provide reater hull strength than the onventional ship, eventually increasing ship safety against external damage. This also eases maintenance of the cargo holds, and even if the outer shell is damaged by external force, the cargo ore is secured against quality
damage and leakage. Prior to the new international rules, the vessel employs fully double hull construction for the fuel tank to prevent fuel leaking outboard for marine pollution protection. A. of Panama at the Chiba Works. YUFUSAN is the second vessel designed with the new hull form called the Mitsui Malacca Doublemax. Both the deadweight and the cargo tank capacity are maximized for efficient transport of crude oil of typical density. In view of ocean and global environmental preservation, the double hull has been applied to both the vessel’s hull and the fuel oil tank of the vessel, for which the
double hull will become mandatory in the future regulations of International Maritime
Organization (IMO). The vessel equips the MIPB-Wing (Mitsui Integrated Propeller Boss with Wing), which is a newly developed device to improve propeller propulsion efficiency. The service speed and fuel oil consumption efficiency have been improved together with both advanced bow and stern form. The main engine adopts the electroniccontrol lubrication system for engine cylinders to decrease ship operation costs, and the steam turbo generating system is also employed, which recovers thermal
energy from the exhaust gas of the main engine. Other installations include the
fixed type flammable gas detecting system arranged in the ballast tanks and the pump room to confirm a safe working environment; GPS and differential GPS for ship positioning by satellite; electronic chart display and information system (ECDIS) and automatic ship identification system (AIS) that ensure safe navigation and
ship operation; and color CCTV system in the engine room, which includes an alarm function in case of fire for monitoring from the wheelhouse and the engine control room.
The VLCC has overal length of 333.00 meters, length between perpendiculars of 324.00meters, beam of 60.00 meters, draught of 28.80 meters and 20.90 meters. The carrier is the second ship built by the company for coastal LNG transportation in Japan. Kawasaki built the cargo tanks that are the core facility of the carrier, and installed them on the hull, which was subcontracted to Shin Kurushima Dockyard Co., Ltd. Kawasaki developed the NORTH PIONEER as a coastal carrier suitable for small quantities of LNG. The carrier uses the pressure build-up type LNG cargo tanks designed with Kawasaki’s rich experience and technical expertise related to LNG carrier construction. The tank system has sufficient capacity to endure rising pressure due to heat ingress without releasing boil off gas. (Heat from the outside is accumulated in LNG, as a result, LNG temperature and vapor pressure rise gradually.) The LNG cargo tanks consist of two metallic cylindrical containers, which are horizontally installed in the cargo compartments of the carrier. The heat insulation and support system separates the containers from the ship hull, permitting contraction of the containers due to low temperature.
Cargo compartments are designed with double hull construction for the ship bottom and sides. This ensures safety in the event of collision or stranding. The compartments are also shielded with tank covers from the open air as in a large LNG carrier. The popular small marine diesel engine is used as the main engine because there is no need for BOG treatment as on a large LNG carrier.
The ship has overal length of 89.2 meters, length between perpendiculater 83.0 meters, beam of 15.3 meters, draft of 4.3 meters, while the ship is fully loaded. The deadweight of the vessel is 1,938 metric tons and the gross tonnage is 3,056 gross tons.

Cheikh el Mokrani LNG carrier

Universal Shipbuilding Corporation has completed the 75,500m8 Mediterranean Max LNG carrier, Cheikh el Mokrani, for Mediterranean LNG Transport Corporation (MLTC) at the Tsu Shipyard. The carrier is the first of two Mediterranean Max types, the order of which was placed by MLTC, a joint venture company formed by SONATRACH, HYPROC (a SONATRACH's subsidiary), Mitsui OSK Lines, and ITOCHU Corp. in 2004. After the naming ceremony at the Tsu Shipyard, successful gas trial was conducted at the Sodegaura LNG Terminal (Chiba Pref.) of Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd.
The carrier was put in service for transport of LNG produced in Algeria to European countries (France, Italy, and Spain) located along the Mediterranean Sea coast. The carriers are designed to have the optimal
size (75,000m3) for the Mediterranean Sea area, and are called Mediterranean Max. This ship type will contribute to reduction of LNG transport costs and the increase in efficiency.
Other features include: Every main Mediterranean LNG receiving terminal ports can accept the Mediterranean Max. Energy-saving type design with the use of SURF BULB/SSD. Employment of a large capacity bow thruster provides easy ship maneuverability within a port. A. at the Setoda Works. The ship Ivs Nightjar has length of 172.90 meters and beam of 29.40 meters. The draught is 14 meters and the draft while the vessel is fully loaded is 9 meters. The main engine of the general cargo ship is Hitachi B&W 6S46MC with power of 6,400kW and the cruising speed which the ship can reach is 14.2 knots.
The Ivs Nightjar is a unique dry cargo ship consisting of five holds protected with double hull construction of the shipsides and bottom. The double hull construction increases the hull strength and improves ship stability against external damage. This also eases maintenance in the cargo holds and prevents the outflow of cargoes even if the outer shell is damaged. The ship has a wide beam and shallow draft, which permit entering ports with shallow waters as well as navigating rivers, channels, and lakes. A special stern form was designed to maintain the course despite the wide beam hull, even under seagoing conditions or within a harbor.
The cargo holds can accommodate grain, coal, ore, and steel products. Moreover, timbers can be loaded inside cargo holds and on the exposed deck. The Nos. 2 through 4 cargo holds are of the box-shaped type. Cargoes can be handled with four 30t deck cranes. The wide hatches facilitate loading and unloading of lengthy products. The lon-gitudinal hull strength allows loading of heavy ca goes in every other hold. If Nos. 2 an 4 holds are empty, the Nos. 1,3, and holds can load cargoes to the full loa waterline. The Ivs Nightjar is an ECO-SHI employing a low fuel consumption pr< pulsion system based on a low-spee main diesel engine and large diarr eter propeller.

Bulk Carrier Azzura

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_INBrALEFjqM/SF9INNxGpFI/AAAAAAAAA-Y/EmcJsCu4uIY/s200/bulk_carrier_sailing.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5214966285389440082" />
IHI Marine United Inc. delivered the Azzura, a 52,OOODWT Handymax size bulk carrier, to Cello Inc. on June 30, 2004 at the Yokohama Shipyard. The ship Azzura has a length of 189.96 meters, beam of 32.20 meters and draught of 17.30 meters. While fully loaded the vessel has a draft of 12.30 meters. The gross tonnage of this bulk carrier is 29,407 metric tons. The Azzura is the first of a series of Future-52 type bulk carriers developed by IHIMU. The Azzura has the optimum dimensions to qualify for worldwide trade, and well-appointed fittings for easy operation and maintenance. The five cargo holds have been strengthened for heavy cargo with holds Nos. 2 and 4 empty, and wide weathertight folding type hatch covers are fitted. Four deck cranes of 30t capacity are provided, and the deck cranes can be fitted with electro-hydraulic grabs as an option. The hold access complies with AWWF requirements.
Since 1967, IHIMU has delivered over 380 standardized multi-purpose cargo vessels, the well known F-series. The Freedom series, the first of the F-series, was highly evaluated for its excellent operating economy and reliability, and such high performance and evaluation were followed by its successors, the Fortune, Freedom Mark n, Friendship and Future series. The Future-52 was developed as a successor to the superior features of the well established Future series. The Future series has been particularly well evaluated for its operating efficiency from domestic and overseas owners, and the Future-52 retains such good operating efficiency with the maximum deadweight in the Handymax size Future series.
But so large vessel needs a good engine, which should decrease the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. That is why the ship-builder installed an engine DU-Sulzer 6RTA48TB with full power of 6,885kW at lll.Srpm, which can give to the vessel cruising speed of 14.7 knots and maximum speed of 15.9 knots.

Pyxis Leader car carrier

Pyxis Leader is one car carrier built by Toyohashi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. Furthermore, the bow above the water-line of the vessel is shaped as the Ax-Bow that can reduce the added wave resistance at sea.
The vessel was designed to meet recent IMO rules, such as PMA (Permanent Means of Access) and pump room bottom protection. The main engine is a MAN B&W 6S70MC-C and a low sulfur fuel oil tank is provided for SOX emission control. The vapor emission control system is installed to prevent emissions of VOC (volatile organic compound) into the atmosphere at loading and unloading. The vessel has three cargo pumps, and the Auto Eductor Stripping System is provided for easy cargo handling. A cargo-heating system is provided in the cargo oil tanks to carry various kinds of cargo oil.

Valente Venus - bulk carrier built in 2008

Valente Venus was the vessel built from Naikai Zosen Corporation for Floral Shipping Navigation S A at the Setoda Works. The ship is bulk carrier with deadweight of 28,410 metric tons, length of 161 meters, beam of 26 meters and depth of 9 meters. Valente Venus is ship with Gross Tonnage of 16,992 metric tons. The vessel is now operated for transport of copper ore and slug centered on New Caledonia.
The double hull construction similar to an ore carrier is adopted to provide greater hull strength than the conventional ship, eventually increasing ship safety against external damage. This also eases maintenance of the cargo holds, and even if the outer shell is damaged by external force, the cargo ore is secured against quality damage and leakage. Prior to the new international rules, the vessel employs fully double hull construction for the fuel tank to prevent fuel leaking outboard for marine pollution protection.
But so modern vessel needs of modern and innovated engine. The engine of Valente Venus is Hitachi MAN B&W 7S35MC (MARK 7) with full power of 4,410 kW. This engine gives opportunity for the ship to realize the speed of 13 knots while sailing through the oceans, but the maximum allowed speed is about 14.5 knots.
The vessel has four box-shaped cargo holds with wide hatches and three 30t deck cranes between the hatches. With these arrangements, cargo-handling efficiency is increased.
