CSCL KINGSTON new container of Peony Shipholding S.A

CSCL KINGSTON
Naikai Zosen Corporation has delivered the container carrier, CSCL KINGSTON, to Peony Shipholding S.A. at its Innoshima Shipyard. The carrier has a container carrying capacity of 2,553TEUs, including 250 reefers.
The container holds consist of six compartments from No. 1 to No. 6, and to Peony Shipholding ten opening hatches. A full cell guide system is employed for each container hold. The main engine is the super longstroke type diesel type to reduce fuel oil consumption, and the ship propulsion efficiency has totally been improved
with adoption of energy-saving stern hull form and a large-diameter and five-blade propeller. Safe ship operation at a port or in navigation is ensured with a bow thruster for easier berthing and unberthing, auto-heeling control equipment for safe cargo handling, and a collision avoidance assisting unit.
The measurements of the large container vessel are overall length 199.93 metera, length between perpendiculars 188.00 meters, breadth 32.20 meters and depth 16.60 meters. When the vessel is fully loaded the draft can reach up to 9.80 meters. The deadweight of the ship is 27,104 metric tons, while the gross tonnage is 33,651 GT. The main engine of this large ship is tachi MAN B&W 7 S70MC-C diesel with full power of 19,560kW at 88 rpm, which allows for the vessel to sail with maximum speed of 23 knots, and the cruising speed is 22.2 knots.
